What do you enjoy most about wealth management?
Working alongside clients to help them confidently plan for their futures is very rewarding. My goal is for milestones such as purchasing a home or sending a child to college to be exciting experiences - not ones that are unreasonably stressful.
What do you love most about being part of Hart Financial Group?
I enjoy being part of a collaborative team where ego and personal preferences are set aside to serve our clients at a high level. At the beginning of a discussion, we may each bring a different idea or partiality on how we want to address a client's need. By the end, we’ve often created a solution as a team that is even better than any of the original ideas.
What qualities of yours makes you well suited for your role at Hart Financial Group?
I am analytical and value objectivity when making investment decisions. It is easy to get swept up in the latest financial trends or blindly accept conventional wisdom. Rather than hopping on the bandwagon, I enjoy approaching each investment decision from the perspective of our clients and identifying solutions that are tailored to their specific needs.
What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
Outside of the office you can find me studying up on something nerdy (accounting is a favorite!), working out at a barre studio, or snuggling on the sofa with my only child, Roxy the shih tzu.
If you had to choose another career what would you do and why?
Interior design has always been a strong interest of mine. I enjoy the challenge of translating an artistic vision into a beautiful and practical living environment.
What’s one experience you wish you could do all over again?
Live in Virginia. Virginia was my home for seven years but during my time there I didn’t take full advantage of the history and outdoor activities it offers. The week before I moved back to Texas I tried to cram in a lot of sightseeing!
If you could live anywhere besides Austin, where would you live and why?
I would live in London because I love the energy and culture offered by large cities. London is especially appealing since it's only a short flight away from so many desirable destinations in Europe - I like the idea of a weekend getaway to Provence or Tuscany!
